Barbara Ann Mohajery, Esquire
Attorney Barbara Ann Mohajery grew up in the small town of Saranac Lake, located in the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York. In 1964 she received a Bachelor of Science degree in music education from SUNY Potsdam, New York and, in 1973, a Master of Arts Degree in Music History & Literature from the same university.
After having taught music for ten years, Attorney Mohajery and her husband relocated to Pittsburgh where, in 1984, she earned her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Since graduation from law school, Attorney Mohajery has served as law clerk to the Honorable Justin M. Johnson of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, as litigation associate with the law firm of Meyer Darragh Buckler Bebenek & Eck, as an attorney in the legal department of the Aluminum Company of America, and as an associate with the law firm then known as Picadio McCall Kane & Norton. In September 1992, Attorney Mohajery established her own law practice in the lovely village of Aspinwall, and concentrates in the areas of business law, family law, wills and estates. In July 2002, Ms. Mohajery formed Mohajery & Associates, PC. Attorney Mohajery is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania (November 1984), the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania (November 1984), the Third Circuit Court of Appeals (December 1985) and the Supreme Court of the United States (May 1990). Ms. Mohajery is a former member of the Editorial Board of The Pennsylvania Lawyer (1989-1992) and the Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Executive Council (1986-1994), and is a Life Fellow of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation. She has also served as President of Women's Business Network, Inc. (1996-1997), was a participant in the Women's Leadership Assembly Future Search Conference (1997), served as Secretary on the Board of Directors of the Aspinwall Development Corporation and has been an active member of the Aspinwall Chamber of Commerce since 1992.Attorney Mohajery is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (Family Law and Law Practice Management sections), the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Family Law section) and the American Bar Association (Family Law section). She currently serves as liaison between Women's Business Network and the Small Business Development Centers of Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh.
